Mahathir Bin Muhammad: Pakistan Day Parade Guest of Honour
Malaysia's second time Premier Mahathir Muhammad will visit Pakistan as Highlight of Pakistan day Parade.
This man has a lot of achievements to his name, and he truly is pioneer of Malaysian development. Giving more than 70 years of his life to Malaysian politics he is most respected politician there. Lets discuss some of his achievements which will prove that why he should be a role model for leader of every developing country.
1.One of his first acts as Minister for Education was to introduce greater government control over Malaysia's universities, despite strong opposition from the academic community. He successfully depoliticised students of university due to his policies.
2. He made self sufficient education system of Malaysia. In a way he achieved this ambitious task deserves praise.
3. In 1991, He outlined his ideal, Vision 2020 in which Malaysia would become a self-sufficient industrialised nation by 2020, in fact experts say this could have been achievable by 2018 seeing the progress in 1990s. But alas interlude of two Prime ministers who do not have to show much.
4. During Mahathir's first tenure as prime minister (16 July 1981 – 31 October 2003), Malaysia experienced a period of rapid modernization and economic growth, and his government initiated a series of bold infrastructure projects, Per capita income in 1996 doubled from that of 1991.
5. When he switched sides from his party UMNO, the party which dominated malaysian politics since its independence till 2018, the party first time suffered a loss with Mahathir becoming first PM of Malaysia outside UMNO.
6. He has boldly scrapped away foreign projects which he thinks his country cant afford. He has famously criticized China of trapping countries which may result in ceding territory.
7. His dispute with Najib razzaq showed how leaders like Najib trick the people of their countries by showing fake figures, ambitious projects and pseudo development.
PTI raised above slogan👆👆👆 but have Pti government in general and leader in particular shown such audacity and sincerity so far as Mahathir?
