Public and politicians:Two different systems

In our country, I always thought that engineers are neglected their due role in many areas but a bit deeper thought to this issue show this is much more widespread. And we get to see two systems.
  • To have even junior most job at a bank you must be a graduate (B.A, M.A whatever it takes) but a politician in government can become a revenue, finance minister even without knowing definition of finance.
  • One can become defence minister and head armed forces, by law, even if he is not completely mentally sane, but to become a policeman or soldier you need to qualify numerous physical tests along with mental ability.
  • A politician can become an energy or power minister, hence, king of energy supply & its technology, order any new installation, commission a new plant, where to purchase it, where to install it without even knowing whether or not “energy can be created or destroyed”.
  • Criminology graduate has no guarantee of job, L.L.B has to pass many hurdles to get something productive but a politician can have many cases pending in court of law still can become law minister or interior minister and boss of all law authorities.
  • Advisors to governors, CMs special assistants politicians can fit anywhere with just one requirement, "as pleased by government or ruling party".
  • Uneducated at primary level, no law stops a politician from holding a government position education minister, governor or Chief Minister, and can head universities as their chancellor. 
  • Country has hard times, austerity starts at public level and will never propagate to legislators as they will keep on passing bills ensuring their increase in pay and perks.
  • And even more interesting in any case, even if it was wrong FIR you are doomed you cannot get a government job but if you are a politician in Pakistan you can easily become MNA, MPA and probably minister or even president, prime minister.  One can contest elections from jail.

Pakistan freed from British but to free it from their traditional system of politicians, bureaucrats or others in power, it is important for its populace to get awareness as unlimited power with no defined domain to those in power has shown serious consequences in this country.
